Highlights
- The Paranui #13 coal seam gas (CSG) appraisal well has been suspended for future production testing. Selected coal seams have been underreamed and jetted to instigate cavitation of the seams around the well bore. Due to concerns about hole stability, downhole geophysical logging of coal seam thicknesses was not completed.
WestSide Corporation Ltd (ASX : WCL) has now completed drilling three new appraisal wells at its Paranui CSG pilot in ATP 769P near Moura in Queensland’s Bowen Basin. The Paranui #13 well is the last of the three appraisal wells which will aim to test gas and water flow rates from the Baralaba coal seams.

Approval has been received from South Australian Government regulators to commence a diamond drilling program in the Yellabinna Regional Reserve, some 150 kilometres west of Ceduna in South Australia.
The exploration target is craton margin Proterozoic nickel sulphide deposits on the western side of the Gawler Craton and the drilling program is designed to test a strong Transient Electromagnetic (TEM) conductive zone at least 200 metres long, open to the north east. |
