Thursday, 30 December 2010 02:31
MCC Northern Engineering & Technology Corporation (NETC) announced that it had completed the technical process design for the Yuanjiacun Mining & Dressing Works of Taiyuan Iron and Steel Co., Ltd., which was the largest open-cast mine of China. Now the construction documents design is being carried out in an orderly manner. The working drawings for mining and dressing works were respectively completed by 30% and 50%. At present, the mine access road construction and land leveling works for the crushing station are being undertaken for the mining works. Moreover the construction of the Concentration Plant is being proceeded in Yuanjiacun Iron Mine, under which the foundation works are being carried out for the main technical workshops such as the storage yard for raw ore, the main workshop and the reverse flotation workshop. In addition, the manufacturing of steel structure, the flood drainage system of the mine waste reservoir and the concentration basin are being constructed as well.

Yuanjiacun Iron Mine is China’s largest iron mine so far, with a design output scale of 22 million tons per annum, and an annual mining and stripping volume of 85.8 million. During the design work for this mine, NETC adopted SURPAC software to establish the mine model, and floating coning method to determine the boundary of the mine. The advanced semi-portable crushing/taping transferring process is utilized for ore transportation. For concentrating work, the semi-autogenous grinding process is employed, consisting of two stages of continuous grinding, low-intensity magnetic treatment, high-intensity magnetic treatment, re-grinding and reverse flotation technical processes.
