Alcoa announced that the Alcoa Board of Directors has elected Paula Davis a vice president of the company.
Davis has been President of the Alcoa Foundation since 2010. Founded more than 50 years ago, Alcoa Foundation is one of the largest corporate foundations in the United States, having invested more than $530 million since 1952. “Under Paula’s leadership, the Alcoa Foundation has significantly increased employee volunteerism at all levels and strengthened Alcoa communities worldwide by creating innovative partnerships that promote sustainable environments and advance Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) education and workforce development in manufacturing,” said Nicholas Ashooh, Alcoa Vice President Corporate Affairs. Before joining Alcoa, Davis was Vice President, Corporate Communications for The Pepsi Bottling Group, where her responsibilities included overseeing the PBG Foundation as well as leading the company’s external, internal, executive and customer communications programs. Davis also held senior positions with Siemens USA where she was Executive Officer and Senior Director of Siemens’ Corporate Communications and Relationship Marketing programs as well as positions in its media and public relations groups. Her earlier experience includes strategic internal and media relations positions with MVP.com, an online sports e-tailer; Arthur Andersen; Sears, Roebuck and Company; and Sara Lee Corporation. Davis has an MBA in marketing and organizational behavior from the Northwestern University Kellogg Graduate School of Management and a bachelor’s degree in English and Psychology from the University of Michigan. She was named a 2011-2012 David Rockefeller Fellow by the Partnership for New York City and has also been recognized by Profiles in Diversity Journal as a “Woman Worth Watching in 2012.” |
