Metso to supply a complete crushing and screening system to Mount Gibson in Australia

Metso will supply a complete crushing and screening system to Mount Gibson Iron for the Extension Hill mine. The iron ore mine site is located north of Perth in Western Australia.
The delivery will be completed by January 2011 and the value of the order is less than EUR 10 million. The order is included in Mining and Construction Technology’s Q2 orders received.
The order consists of feeders, a jaw crusher, cone crusher, screen and conveyors. It also includes engineering, structures, installation and project management of the new plant.
The stationary plant expansion is designed to produce at a rate of 700 metric tons per hour.
Mount Gibson iron is the leading independent Australian hematite iron ore producer. The development and construction of the Extension Hill hematite project scheduled for completion in June 2011. The annual production of 3 million tonnes at Extension Hill will lift total Mount Gibson production to 9 million tonnes per year in 2012.
