CNOOC Helps Clean up Oil Spill in Dalian |

By 2 p.m. on July 20, three days after the oil spill cleanup started in Dalian, "Hai Yang Shi You 252", "Hai Yang Shi You 603", "Binhai 263" and "Binhai 265", four specialized vessels dispatched by CNOOC for support, had collected 960 cubic meters of oil slick.
On the evening of July 16, an oil pipeline exploded near Dalian's Xingang Harbor, causing a fire and oil spills. The sea area off Dalian coast was polluted in the accident. According to Dalian Municipal Government, all the boats helping in the cleanup had cleaned up an area of 20 square kilometers by 6 p.m. on July 19, and the oil spill coverage had shrunk to 30 square kilometers. |
