AngloGold Ashanti announced that the Department of Mineral Resources has transferred the mining rights for its Tau Lekoa Mine to Buffelsfontein Gold Mines Limited, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Simmer & Jack Mines Limited (Simmers). Full ownership of Tau Lekoa and the adjacent properties of Weltevreden and Goedgenoeg will pass to Simmers on 1 August 2010.

Uralkali (Berezniki, Perm Territory) announces its production results for June 2010 and the first six months of 2010.
In June 2010 the company produced 395 thousand tonnes of potassium chloride, which is a 2.2 times increase on June 2009.
The company’s overall output in the H1 2010 was 2.4 million tonnes of potassium chloride, 2.1 times higher than during the same period last year. |
